Eco-Team
The Eco-Team is a group of children from across the school who meet regularly to discuss and plan ways of making our school more environmentally friendly. Mrs Matthews (Year 1 and 2 teacher), Mr Scholefield (the school caretaker) and Mrs Kent (a parent and governor) are all adults who help the team.
The Infant School Eco-Team, led by Mrs Matthews, work very closely with the Junior School Eco-Team and meet up every month to plan and take action together.
Activities they have been involved in include; designing and making classroom posters to encourage children to save water, taking part in litter picks around the school grounds and fundraising for school chickens.

You can also find all this information on our 'Eco-Schools' Noticeboard.
Due to the hard work of our Eco-Teams, we have already acheived the Silver Eco-Schools Award and are now aiming for the prestigious Green Flag Award. This is given to schools who demonstrate 'excellence in the field of environmental activity'.
