Core Aims

At Reinwood Infant and Nursery school, the staff and governors aim to work in partnership with pupils, parents and the community to nurture a life long love of learning. Our school motto is ‘I CAN' – we believe everyone can achieve. We provide a stable, caring environment where children are able to develop a positiveIcan self esteem and secure the highest possible standards of achievement.

In a diverse and rapidly changing world we welcome people from all cultures and encourage respect, care and co-operation from everyone in our school community.

By our own example we help to create a positive atmosphere in school. By working together as a team to develop and implement policies in school we strive to enable each child to:

  • Master the fundamental skills, concepts and knowledge in reading, writing and mathematics, as well as skills in other curriculum areas
  • Have the confidence to try new challenges, to be aware of their strengths and areas for development
  • Develop a sense of awe and wonder by encouraging and stimulating a natural curiosity and creativity
  • Develop an awareness of the needs of others by encouraging self control, and to show a caring attitude and understanding of everyone’s needs.

We also encourage all staff and pupils to:

Ican3
